About us
Since 2000, help to help (International) e. V. has supported aid projects in the fields of education, health and infrastructure – especially where state provision is insufficient or missing altogether.
The association is entered in the Munich register of associations under VR 206970 and has been recognised as a charity by the Finanzamt München, Abt. Körperschaften by notice dated 10. Oktober 2024. The board is Karl-Ludwig List, who, like all our helpers, works on a voluntary basis.
We do not work alone: in Nepal, the partner organisations medihimal and help to help (Nepal) support the projects, and the health station cooperates with the Nepal Red Cross Society and hospitals in the region. In Tanzania, our involvement grew out of a member’s work with the Senior Experten Service.
How we work
Four principles that can be read from the project reports.
Help for self-help
Projects are planned with partners on site and run by them. The Taksindu school project has expressly followed this principle since it began in 2015.
Technology that can be repaired locally
The ambulance is deliberately a simple, locally produced model: service stations are within reach and the drivers know the vehicle. A high-tech vehicle without a workshop helps nobody.
Equipment only with training
Equipment is upgraded only together with training and further education for the staff. Providing a device that nobody can operate is no help.
Volunteering and earmarked funds
The association works entirely on a voluntary basis. Projects such as Taksindu and the MedicalCare Center are financed exclusively through earmarked donations and sponsorships.
