Visiting this website

When you visit our pages, our server processes the technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This processing is necessary to deliver the website and ensure its secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The server logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest and are not combined with other data.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies for analysis or marketing purposes. If you hide a notice bar, this is recorded solely in your browser’s storage (sessionStorage) for the duration of your visit; this information does not reach our server.

Contact form

If you write to us using the form, we process your first name and surname, your email address, any subject you specify and your message in order to deal with your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). In addition, to protect against automated submissions, we store a non-reversible check value of your IP address. The data is deleted as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Donate

For donations by bank transfer, we process the data that your bank sends us – in particular your name, the amount and the payment reference. To issue a donation receipt, we also need your address. Donation data is subject to retention periods under tax law and is stored for the corresponding period.

If you donate via PayPal or betterplace.org, you leave this website. The processing there is subject to the privacy notices of the respective provider; we only receive from them the information needed to allocate the donation.

Fonts and external content

We deliver the fonts used from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font service. We do not use maps, videos or social media embeds; the world map on the home page is a static graphic with no map service in the background.

Recipients of data

For the operation and maintenance of this website, we use a service provider with servers in Germany, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data is not transferred to third countries unless you yourself use one of the payment services mentioned above.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please use the contact details given above.

In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for us, this is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
