Donate instead of giving gifts

More and more often we receive requests from people who would rather do without the presents intended for them and “do something good” instead. A donation to our organisation or to a specific project is a good alternative.

There are many occasions on which the appreciation of loved ones can be put to a good cause: birthdays, weddings, (company) anniversaries, the birth of a child. On several occasions, people have also thought of supporting those in need instead of the customary flowers at a funeral.

Why not ask your guests for a donation, too? With a keyword agreed with us that you pass on to your friends and acquaintances, the gift donations are easy to allocate. When the campaign is over, you will receive information about the total amount received – on request with a list of donors, but for data protection reasons without individual amounts.

On request, we can send you information material to include with your invitation or hand out at the celebration.

Inheritance and legacies: a legacy for education

Perhaps you have already thought about not only providing for your family after your death but also doing good – for example for the education of children in underdeveloped regions.

We and our partner organisations on site have many years of experience in building and running schools, especially in remote areas that are difficult to reach. Every enquiry is treated in the strictest confidence and places you under no obligation.

We work with Dr Barbara Wagner, a lawyer specialising in these matters, Kanzlei für gesellschaftliches Engagement: anwaltskanzlei-drwagner.de. You can talk to her confidentially about your plans; she explains the options for leaving a legacy, helps with the formalities and provides information on provisions, inheritance and legacies.

We work entirely on a voluntary basis. What is donated goes into the projects.
