Flood disaster: update

Two helpers in front of the loaded vehicle with the association’s sign

More and more victims and immeasurable damage are being reported. On the one hand, the flow of information is overwhelming; on the other, the situation is still unclear!

We have received word from the health station that our hard-working colleague Bhakta, together with his colleague Anup, will travel to the flood area on Sunday to deliver first relief supplies.

Both deserve great respect for putting themselves in danger in order to help others. Anup is an entrepreneur who runs a travel agency; his company has always stood by our organisation and supported it.

Now he, too, has been hit by the disaster – eight employees and several buses were swept away by the flood and are missing.

As already mentioned in our first update, enormous financial resources will certainly be needed to support the people and rebuild the infrastructure.

We welcome donations, which are guaranteed to be passed on to our station without any deductions and distributed from there.

Thank you very much for every contribution.
